ABOUT ME
I studied photography in Chicago and have returned home to Michigan. As a hospitality veteran and creative I have worn many hats personally and professionally. In 2020 I fell back in love with writing, covering stories with Eater Detroit. I held my first community forum for food and beverage workers surviving the pandemic. As someone who never wanted to leave the industry- subsequently, it left me. I landed in customer service positions and after a round of layoffs I took it as an opportunity to shift. This break was harder than the last. Eight months and over 1,000 applications later I was recruited by a small business owner and accepted a contract position as an executive assistant and director of events & membership. Now, I have found a love for public speaking, career counseling and finding creative business solutions. Being involved with my community and connecting people to purpose is a part of my every day practice.
Photography is a channel into rooms I wouldn’t typically enter to bridge the gap for myself and other entrepreneurs and business owners all across Metro Detroit. No gatekeeping- only elevating.
